Wedding cars : With Driver or Self Drive ?

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re getting married soon, and are thinking of renting a luxury car for your special day.

Firstly, congratulations to you and your partner ! Getting married is a huge milestone in life for many people and is an achievement in itself :)

If you’re thinking of renting a car - you’re probably thinking if you should get a chauffeured car (car with driver) or self drive a luxury car yourself.

If you’re new to car rentals, or do not rent cars frequently, i personally would suggest you go for the chauffeured option. Heck, even if you rent cars occasionally, I would still recommend the chauffeured option over driving the car yourself, and here’s why :

Complimentary decor time

If you opt for a chauffeured car, our driver will drive the bridal car down to your bridal shop for the car to be decorated (usually the night before the wedding) . The charges for this is already included in the price of the rental

Lesser hassle

I don’t know about you, but for me - especially on my wedding day where everyone is so busy and worried that things won’t go smoothly, having a self drive car is too much of a hassle as it only adds on to the things I’ll have to worry and think about . For example, if you self drive your wedding car , you’ll have to think about :

Collection of car
Returning of car after your wedding
Cashcard and parking fees during wedding duration
The need to TOP up the Petrol to the amount that you collected the car with
Avoiding an accident or any damages to the car

With a chauffeured car, you do not have to think about any of the above since the price is all inclusive. Our chauffeured cars come with :

A Professional driver
Parking costs
ERP, tolls etc.
Complimentary 1 hour decor time the day before your wedding(yes, our drivers will send your wedding car to your bridal for the car to be decorated)

Newer Cars

Our chauffeured cars are usually newer as compared to the self drive models. This is because chauffeured cars are driven by professional drivers, which means that the cars are handled with more care and thus newer cars are a safer bet since they won’t be driven by a variety of different people who may abuse the cars.

Plus, you don’t have to think about returning the car etc. This can save you some time, especially if you’re jetting off to an exotic destination for your honeymoon :)

On the downside however, chauffeured cars can be more expensive as compared to a self drive car depending on the duration of rental, since you are paying for the driver as well.

The advantages of self drive cars :

Cheaper

Self drive cars are generally cheaper because you are not paying for the driver.
